Start With Tokens, Not Layers

Well-built templates use color styles and text styles for everything. Change the accent token once and every button, link, and highlight updates together. Swap the heading font in the text styles panel and the whole hierarchy follows. Resist the urge to restyle individual layers — that’s how designs drift apart.

Keep the Spacing System

Section padding and gaps are the invisible skeleton of a template. Replace photos, rewrite copy, reorder sections freely — but keep the spacing rhythm intact and the result will still feel professionally designed, just unmistakably yours.
